Douglas Arrison - Founder/CEO DASolar

Douglas Arrison

Growing up in the sixties, Doug always had a fascination with solar energy.  ...Point something at the sun and you get electricity? How cool is that?

In college he studied Economics (Bachelors) and Computer Science (Masters) at Boston University.  Early jobs in the software and marketing research industries (IRI) saw him in both technical and sales roles. He later turned to entrepenurial pursuits in online video and consumer goods (online marketing) - before starting DASolar in 2008. Creating DASolar has been an opportunity for Doug to combine his education and business experience with his boyhood interest in solar energy and a love for the outdoors.

In his free time Doug takes full advantage of Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains to ski and hike - with occasional knee crushing forays to Yosemite and beyond.

Elizabeth also grew up in the 60's, as (one of) Doug's older sisters. They were both instilled with the work ethic that has sustained them through the challenges of building a business...

Elizabeth is a Cornell University graduate with a Masters in Education.  She lives in southern New Hampshire.  Her best jobs have been teaching elementary school, running her own landscape business and working for DASolar.

Favorite things:  sunlight, trees, mountains, long bike rides, gardening, tending to the birds who flock to the feeders and maintaining a clean, uncluttered house.  Elizabeth has been married for 26 years, has two grown stepsons, a college-age daughter and two black cats.  She is always reading at least one book.
